The inspiration for ARMORY came from studying the 1,000+ vintage matchbook collection of the late Dr. John Modestow—a collection he curated over his lifetime. As our team of designers, artists, and craftsmen categorized them and studied their contents, we realized the incredible depth of these tiny treasures—from the printing and colors to the style of illustration, and the hand-cut typography. Join us in celebrating the one-of-a-kind artistry found here and our attempt to bring it all back to life with a modern twist.
